Delegation Rubric

Welcome! This rubric is related to this write-up on Delegating Effectively. If you haven't read that, please start there.

If you want to be the most effective CEO and leader, learning to delegate is one of the highest-leverage things you can do. This practice helps you collapse time and therefore focus on the things you love doing most and are highest-value to you.

But delegation isn't easy - we're taught that whatever we're given is something we have to do. And chances are, you feel fear asking others to do the work you have to do: how do you know they'll do it well? How do you know they'll get it done the way you want it done?

This rubric will help you as a reminder on what to delegate, when, and how.

You are welcome to save this high-res PNG or PDF for yourself. Or, better yet, forward this to your EA or Chief of Staff, and they'll help you.
